Surface Treatment

Stronghold’s factory has a 12 metre open face spray booth for in house surface treatment of our steel products.

Grey Zinc Phosphate Primer

Zinc Phosphate Primer is a high performance, high build primer with excellent rust inhibiting performance, suitable for use over hand cleaned steel. This application is common on most structural steel sections when being used in internal applications or low corrosive environments.

Hot Dip Galvanising

Hot-dip galvanising (HDG), as commonly referred to, is the process of dipping fabricated steel components into a tank containing molten zinc. The process is inherently simple which provides a distinct advantage over other corrosion protection methods. While the steel is in the tank, the iron in the steel metallurgical reacts with the molten zinc to form a tightly-bonded alloy coating that provides superior corrosion protection to steel.
